Welcome to St. Joseph's Religious Education Program!

Catholic formation comes from many sources including Sunday Mass, prayer and living a Catholic way of life in the home.

For Children:

"Parents have the first responsibility for the education of their children." Catechism of the Catholic Church, #2223

"Education in the faith by the parents should begin in the child's earliest years. This already happens when family members help one another to grow in faith by the witness of a Christian life in keeping with the Gospel. Family catechesis precedes, accompanies, and enriches other forms of instruction in the faith. Parents have the mission of teaching their children to pray and to discover their vocation as children of God. The parish is the Eucharistic community and the heart of the liturgical life of Christian families; it is a privileged place for the catechesis of children and parents." Catechism of the Catholic Church, #2226

While parents are the first teachers of the Faith, St. Joseph Parish is happy to partner with them. Our parish Faith Formation (FF) Program specifically serves our public school and home school children in Kindergarten through 8th-grade with both grade-level religion classes and sacramental preparation.

K-8 Faith Formation classes will start Wednesday, September 2, 2026, and registration information will be made available soon.

For Adults:

St. Joseph Parish provides numerous opportunities throughout the year for adults to deepen their knowledge of the Catholic Faith.

  • Our Wednesday evening Adult Faith Formation class examines the Sunday Mass readings. This class incorporates recordings, small group discussion, and prayer. Meetings are held in the parish office conference room on Wednesdays from 6:30-7:45pm.
  • Fr. Fred's Bible Basics Class is held during the school year (begins in September and ends in May) on Thursdays at Noon at the Kennedy Cafeteria. The 2026-2027 study will be announced in early August 2026.
  • Summer Bible/Book Study. Each summer a short course is held that allows participants to study a particular aspect of the Faith or work their way through a book about some aspect of the Faith. Watch this page and the parish's social media accounts for the 2027 program.
